About Us

Why We Do It

Our sequence of workshops offers personal and community building materials that foster confidence and support a healthier infrastructure. Ultimately we would like to bridge the generational gaps by connecting supportive elders with new members to assist with the experiences and opportunities found in our collection of workshops.

We focus on community to inspire generations in the arts and educational & business fields while confronting health issues and personal obstacles.

How We Do It

Our organization assists elders and members through a variety of 64 workshops that have been designed to strengthen confidence within oneself while connecting with the community through the support of experienced elders.

Self Analyze

Take a look at the concept of self. An introduction to who you are in mind and body will explore the basic understanding of what it is to be. We will discuss the internal and external aspects of strength and weakness in efforts to find acceptance and then begin to develop comfortably.

Community

It’s time to build a community or identify the one around you. A social construct is important in the sense of “taking a village to raise a child.” Learn the cause and effect of meeting people, helping people in need, and establishing a safe, friendly, and clean environment for all to enjoy.

Be Healthy

A basic understanding of a healthy diet. Learn the fundamentals of what water, sun, and rest can do for the mind and body. Explore deeper meanings of symptoms and remedies while learning to grocery shop for a healthier tomorrow. Apply your knowledge of personal health to the carbon foot-print you make.

Physical Fitness

Use it or lose it! Our body is built to move so join your community in physical activities such as team sports or find a personal challenge to overcome. Learn how to be a team player or find that one physical activity that you want to do with your new healthy lifestyle. Become a member of our running club, RUN EOB to get some miles in and discuss personal methods for high performance results.

Fundamentals

Let’s explore the fundamentals of life whether it is learning survival in the wilderness or managing your skill sets for a professional work environment. Life skills can be your foundation to meet your next goal so we introduce a variety of tools to give you what you need to begin your journey with confidence.

Creativity
Find your creative interests. Creativity brings ideas to life so we encourage through a variety of mediums. Learn how to form thoughts into tangible art that helps connect people with relatable feelings or social issues. Utilize artistic endeavors as an outlet that may bring joy or help to heal you and your community. “To create is to live twice.” – Albert Camus
Express Yourself

Get to know yourself and others through different forms of expression. Take an idea or feeling and learn to communicate words, actions, or artistic reflections with your community.

Self Reflect
Revisit the concept of self and measure the progress you have made. Reinvent yourself in the fashion you choose. Build confidence knowing you are subject to change and also have the freedom to create the change within and around you to support a healthy lifestyle and community.

Empowering Youth Together

It takes a village to raise a child. A small donation today will go a long way to help support our members in some of the following areas:

Elders of the BloQK is making a change in children's reading trends by incorporating book circles into the organizations workshops. Donations will support the goal to increase reading trends by making books affordable for those young individuals who have yet learned the benefits of reading both academically and for imaginative enjoyment. Together we will bring back the standard of reading and writing with more book circles followed up with learning to write an essay on what was just read...

With neighborhood clean-up supplies our members will invest back into the community as they use their new tools to provide maintenance tasks for people in need all while learning to be handy. The community driven workshops are designed to unite various age groups with hands-on experience while forming working relationships. In many ways your donations will offer skills in business trades by helping to pay for youth members to become certified in fields of their choice.

Instruments are another tool that provides a high level of critical thinking and opens doors to new perspectives in some areas of development. Your donation will compliment the joy of making music by offering lesson fees or purchasing a new instrument to upcoming virtuoso's who have no means to financially support any curriculum outside of the basic needs of living expenses.

Donate to an EOB club! Currently we offer a chess and running club. What better way to help develop your community in competitive thinking or through a powerful life changing run that only physical fitness provides.

All of our workshops are designed to not only inspire but to drastically reduce juvenile hall and prison statistics caused by a lack of productive outlets.
